Privacy policy

Effective October 5, 2026. Viro Health Group Inc. ("Viro," "we," "us") operates tryviro.com and the Viro store. This policy explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and the choices you have. Questions: support@tryviro.com.

The short version

  • We collect what we need to ship your order, run your subscription and answer your emails. Nothing more.
  • We do not collect lab results, medical records, intake answers or at-home test results. Clinical information is held by OpenLoop Healthcare Partners, PC, our clinical partner, under HIPAA. At-home test results stay in the test maker's app.
  • We do not sell personal information, do not share it for targeted advertising, and do not run advertising pixels on this site or at checkout.
  • You can see, correct or delete your information, or unsubscribe, by emailing us. We answer within 45 days.

Who this covers

Anyone who visits tryviro.com, orders from the Viro store (hosted by Shopify), subscribes to our emails, or contacts us. Our services are for adults 18 and older in the United States.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you order: your name, email address, shipping address, phone number if you provide one, and what you ordered. Payment is processed by Shopify Payments; we see the card type and last four digits only, never the full card number. When you subscribe to updates on our research page: your email address. When you contact us: your email and whatever you choose to tell us.

Information collected automatically. Our website host (Netlify) keeps standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, kept for a short period for security and performance. Shopify sets the cookies needed for the cart and checkout to work and collects basic store analytics (pages visited, device type, approximate location from IP). We do not use Google Analytics, the Meta pixel, the TikTok pixel or any other advertising or cross-site tracking technology.

What we deliberately do not collect. We do not receive your lab results, diagnoses, prescriptions, medical history, intake answers or physician notes. When you click through to start a hormone panel, you leave our site and give that information directly to OpenLoop Healthcare Partners, PC, under OpenLoop's own privacy practices and HIPAA. Results from the at-home sperm test go to you through the test manufacturer's app, under the manufacturer's privacy policy. If you email us a lab result or medical detail, we will not store it beyond answering you, and we may ask you to send it to OpenLoop instead.

Why we use it

  • To process, ship and support your order, and to manage your subscription, including renewal reminders and receipts.
  • To answer your questions and resolve problems.
  • To send updates you have asked for. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and we honor it within 10 business days.
  • To keep the site and store secure, prevent fraud, and meet our legal and tax obligations.

We do not use your information for targeted advertising, do not build profiles from it, and do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similar effects.

Who we share it with

Fulfillment partners. Your name, shipping address and the items ordered go to the companies that ship them: the at-home sperm test manufacturer (Medical Electronic Systems, maker of the YO test) and our supplement supplier (Vital Seed), both connected to our store through Shopify's Collective program. They receive only what is needed to ship, are contractually restricted to that purpose, and may not market to you or keep your information for their own use.

Service providers. Shopify (store, checkout, payments and order emails), Netlify (website hosting and the research-page subscription form), Google Workspace (email and documents) and our email-sending service. Each acts on our instructions under a contract that limits its use of your information.

Clinical partner. We do not send your information to OpenLoop. You provide it to OpenLoop yourself when you begin intake. OpenLoop may tell us that an order was placed, for billing reconciliation, without clinical details.

Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena or court order, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply.

We do not sell personal information and have not sold it in the past 12 months. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out where the law requires it.

Consumer health data

A purchase of a sperm test or fertility supplement, or a subscription to fertility-related emails, could be linked to reproductive or sexual health. Our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains how we handle that information under Washington's My Health My Data Act, Nevada's SB 370, and similar laws. We do not sell consumer health data and will not share it for advertising.

Your rights and choices

Wherever you live, you can email support@tryviro.com to:

  • See the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
  • Correct anything inaccurate.
  • Delete your information. We will delete it except where we must keep order and payment records for tax, accounting or dispute purposes.
  • Opt out of marketing emails, or of any sale, sharing or targeted advertising (we do none, but the right is yours).
  • Appeal a decision we make about your request by replying to our response. If you are not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.

We will confirm your identity using the email address on your order and respond within 45 days, extendable once by 45 days if we tell you why. We will never charge for a request or treat you differently for making one. Residents of California, Texas, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Oregon, Montana and other states with consumer privacy laws have these rights by statute; we extend them to everyone.

Cookies. The only cookies on this site are the ones Shopify needs to run the cart and checkout. You can clear or block them in your browser, which may prevent checkout from working.

Do Not Track. We do not track you across other sites, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to turn off.

How long we keep it

  • Order, subscription and payment records: 7 years, for tax and accounting law.
  • Email subscriber list: until you unsubscribe, then your address is suppressed so we do not email you again.
  • Support emails: up to 2 years after the matter is closed.
  • Server logs: up to 30 days.

Security

Your information is stored by providers that encrypt it in transit and at rest. Access on our side is limited to the people who need it, protected by multi-factor authentication. We maintain a written incident response plan, and if a breach ever affects your information we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password for your store account.

Children

Our services are for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Outside the United States

We sell only within the United States, and our providers store information in the United States. If you visit from elsewhere, you are sending your information to the US.

Changes

When we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new effective date, and we will email subscribers and recent customers about any material change before it takes effect. The most recent version always governs.
